Racing with Jesus

Racing with Jesus

While shooting photographs for Formula DRIFT’s “The Gauntlet” this past June in Wall, New Jersey, I came across this trailer parked along the side of the track. After a quick search online following the event, and as the logo suggests, I discovered that the Racer’s Church has been operating since 1980. According to their website, “We pray with teams, drivers and officials, hold a pre race chapel service and provide a way for those in the racing community to find a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.” Perhaps Jesus “taking the wheel” isn’t just a figurative expression for some of these racers.
